City Developments Limited (CDL), has been granted an option to buy $126.3M worth of property and assets from Tan Chong Auto Dealer. According to an ACRA filing, the option was granted by its wholly-owned subsidiary CDL Aries Pte Ltd (CDL Aries) to CDL Constellation Pte Ltd (CDL Constellation). The two companies are both subsidiaries of CDL Developments Limited.

The call option is for the purchase of a range of real estate, commercial and residential properties owned by Tan Chong’s subsidiary in Singapore. These include land parcels, residential units, buildings and other assets such as retail space and car showrooms.

This deal could potentially benefit both parties involved; it would give CDL access to valuable properties at a discounted rate while allowing Tan Chong Auto Dealer to monetize some of its under-utilised assets in Singapore. Overall, this call option agreement between City Developments Limited and Tan Chong Auto Dealer looks set to bring about positive developments for both companies going forward.
